Peer support groups involve people with a lived experience of alcohol and other drug problems supporting each other to maintain recovery and wellbeing.
Specialised peer support groups are available for various types of people, such as:
- Women
- Men
- People who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans, intersex or queer
- People who use particular drugs, such as alcohol, ice or opioids, or
- Family members affected by a loved one’s alcohol and other drug use.
